Darla

Every great herd has a foundation, and for My Darling Farm that foundation is Darla. Darla was one of the very first goats I ever owned. I brought her home as a kid alongside a little weather named Finnegan. From the very beginning, Darla has been everything you could hope for in a doe. She is a gentle, affectionate, her temperament is easy to work with, she has a beautiful udder, and has always been a dependable member of our herd. Her calm personality and willingness to please make her a favorite with everyone who meets her. She's more than just a wonderful companion, Darla has been an incredible foundation doe. She has proven herself time and time again, passing along the qualities we value most; strong maternal instincts, a sweet disposition, wonderful udder genetics, and the kind of consistency every breeder hopes to build upon. When I look around My Darling Farm today, I see Darla's legacy. She was the doe that started it all, and everything we built can be traced back to the day we brought her home. She will always hold a special place in both my heart and the history of our herd.
