Buck Service Policy & Pricing
Service Fees:
Driveway breeding starts at $75 and goes up from there, depending on the individual buck.
Boarding is $35 per week (# $5 per day).
Exact breeding fees will be discussed before scheduling.
Driveway Breeding
Driveway breeding is our preferred option for outside does.
Appointments must be scheduled in advance.
The owner is responsible for making sure the doe is in heat when she arrives.
If the doe does not settle from her first driveway breeding, one additional driveway breeding is included at no charge.
After two unsuccessful driveway breedings, another service fee will be required.
Boarding:
Boarding is available by arrangement and is subject to availability.
Owners must provide enough of the doe's normal hay and grain for her stay.
Outside feed will be kept separate from our herd's feed, and we will make sure our bucks do not have access to any grain brought for a boarded doe.
The free repeat breeding does not apply to boarded does. Boarding fees will continue to apply for the duration of the doe's stay.
Biosecurity Requirements:
All outside does must meet our biosecurity requirements before being approved for breeding or boarding.
Does must arrive healthy and free of signs of contagious illness.
We may ask about recent testing, herd history, recent additions to the herd, and possible disease exposure.
We reserve the right to refuse breeding or boarding if we have concerns about a doe's health, exposure history, or biosecurity status.
If a boarded doe becomes sick or develops concerning symptoms, she will be separated from our herd and her owner will be contacted.
Owner Responsibilities:
Owners are responsible for providing accurate information about their doe's health, testing, herd history, and recent exposure.
Owners are responsible for transportation to and from the farm.
Owners are responsible for making sure their doe is in heat for her scheduled driveway breeding.
Owners must notify us of any changes in their doe's health or possible disease exposure before bringing her to the farm.
Before breeding or boarding, the owner must sign a health declaration confirming that the doe is healthy, is not showing any signs of contagious illness, and that all health, testing, and exposure information provided is accurate.
Owners may not bring a doe to our property if there is any known or suspected chance that she could be sick or carrying a contagious disease.
Our Herd Comes First
We take biosecurity seriously because protecting our herd also protects the goats coming here for breeding. These rules are in place to reduce unnecessary disease risk and help keep everyone's goats healthy. We appreciate owners who respect our requirements and understand that we may decline service when necessary.
